Under this strategic pillar the cluster assists members in the following areas:

  1. Data Analytics – Healthcare ( industry-academic-healthcare) collaboration in data analytics.

  2. Data Analytics – LifeSciences ( industry-academic-healthcare) collaboration in data analytics.

  3. Health Insurance, Assurance & Reimbursement Workstream.

The cluster can leverage expertise and partnerships across these three inter-connected areas of the digital health ecosystem.  The Health Insurance, Assurance & Reimbursement Workstream brings together members and sectoral experts to explore sectoral challenges of mutual interest.

Data Analytics Healthcare

As part of Healthcare Data Analytics the Digital Health Industries Cluster has forged alliances with several organisations with expertise in data analytics.  The cluster shall explore opportunities for members to collaboration, projects, research in Healthcare Analytics.  This collaboration is open to public healthcare, digital transformation, private healthcare, community care and all island / cross border and international benchmarking and collaborations.

As part of LifeSciences Data Analytics the Digital Health Industries Cluster has forged alliances with several organisations with expertise in data analytics.  The cluster shall explore opportunities for members to collaboration, projects, research in LifeSciences Analytics.

There are opportunities in data analytics across MedTech, Pharma and BioTech sectors.  The cluster has developed connections with primary industry, academic and specialist expertise and welcomes innovation collaboration across the quadruple helix nationally and internationally.

Health Insurance, Assurance & Reimbursement Workstream

Ireland has a vibrant health insurance, health assurance and reimbursement industry community.  The cluster has several national and international firms based in Ireland servicing this market sector.  The cluster is in the process of developing a workstream of industry, academic and specialist expertise in a dedicated workstream.  The Workstream enjoys the benefits and participation in cluster activities but also specialist activities unique to their sector.

Some industry members may compete in the same end market and have similar products, services and customers but in the spirit of innovation and co-opetition they seek opportunities to collaborate and innovate as a sector.  Furthermore, these firms are significant contributors and enablers of digital health within the Irish digital health ecosystem.

Partnerships & Alliances

The Digital Health Industries Cluster is evaluating the various Science Foundation Ireland Research Centres, Academic and Commercial Research Centres, Technology Gateways, software experts, data analytics expertise in the Irish Ecosystem.  The cluster is open to collaborating on behalf of all its LifeSciences and Healthcare members to collaborate and innovate in this space.
